Say hello to The Secret Cake Club Perth

And so I say a fond farewell to the Cake Club in Perth. Since it’s inception back in April, it has been a whirlwind of cakey adventures. Organising it with Jacqui has been a blast as well as meeting some new folks who shared a common interest…eating cake in secret. Sshhh!!!

I loved the build up to each event, not knowing if anyone would turn up and then all of the last minute panic to get everything in place before strangers enter your house. Not knowing that soon we would all become friends.

When we started Cake Club, there was just 4 eager food bloggers who wanted to eat lots of cake. Today we had over 20 cakes to share. Each month has brought a new theme and with that, new faces and new cakes. But it’s time for Cake Club to take a little turn and make a stand of it’s own. The Secret Cake Club Perth was launched today at our Vegetable/Savoury Theme event. It was pretty exciting to hear Jacqui stand up there in front of our 30 guests and reveal the big news. I wish her every luck in the future with The Seceret Cake Club Perth. It’s been a long time coming.

So, why might you ask will this be my last Cake Club? Well, I’m off on a new adventure. In a few weeks time I will be boarding a plane and heading for South Africa. A pretty exciting time for both me and Tomás. A new opportunity for both of us and our second time moving continents together. More on that later though
